In this five-week landscape painting course, participants will delve into essential techniques for capturing nature scenes on canvas. Through a series of guided exercises and demonstrations, students will learn to simplify natural forms into basic shapes and tones, experiment with light, shadow, and color mixing, and build their own compositions. Each session progressively builds on previous skills learned; by course end, students will have developed confidence and foundational techniques to form cohesive landscape compositions.
This class is operating on a sliding scale. You may purchase the class at a rate you feel financially comfortable with, up to the maximum class cost of $130. All students will receive the same instruction regardless of payment.

Materials provided. Acrylics will be supplied. Students encouraged to bring their own paints (acrylic, gouache, or oil). Walnut oil can be provided instead of linseed oil to avoid smell.
