Fall 2026: Intermediate & Advanced Landscape Painting
Class Description
Requirements: Introduction to Landscape Painting
This Intermediate class is designed for students who have completed an introductory painting course or have prior experience and are ready to deepen their landscape painting skills. Participants will explore color theory through the practice of landscape painting, focusing on intentional color choices, mixing techniques, and creating depth, atmosphere, and light within their work.
Through guided exercises and individual instruction, students will develop a stronger understanding of how color influences mood, accurately interpret what they see, and make thoughtful artistic decisions in their paintings.
Advanced students are also welcome to join and will work with the instructor on an individual basis to further develop their skills, strengthen their personal approach, and pursue specific artistic goals in a supportive studio environment. Advanced participants will build upon previous landscape painting experience by refining their image selection process, engaging in focused work sessions, and participating in a final critique designed to encourage thoughtful discussion, reflection, and growth as artists.
