Class Description
Learn the basics of relief printmaking by carving stamps from erasers. This beginner-friendly workshop introduces participants to a range of techniques and materials, highlighting the accessibility and versatility of this art form. Participants will also explore notable artists and styles in the field, receive guidance on the safe use of tools, and leave with their own reusable stamps.
Price
This class is operating on a sliding scale. You may purchase the class at a rate you feel financially comfortable with, up to the maximum class cost of $30. All students will receive the same instruction regardless of payment.

About the Instructor - Mykayla Cole
Mykayla Cole is a 23-year-old artist from Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, recently graduating from Pennwest Edinboro with her BFA in Media Arts, minors in Illustration, Music, and Creative Writing. Her love of the arts has followed her throughout life, from writing her own music to writing and illustrating children’s books. Her love for printmaking began in her junior year, after taking an intro class with Professor William (Bill) Mathie and learning about linoleum carving. Her long-term creative goals are to teach young artists about different mediums and styles of art, and to eventually publish her children’s books.
