Needle Felting Workshop
Class Description
Students will learn the basics of needle felting while creating a handcrafted wool pumpkin decoration. Participants will be guided step-by-step in shaping wool roving using a felting needle and mat in a supportive, hands-on environment.
By the end of class, each student will complete a finished pumpkin and receive a take-home kit, including a felting mat, needles, and extra wool, to continue creating at home.
Price
Workshop cost is $50 for Museum members, $60 for non-members. Members use the code FELT for your discount.

About the Instructor - Melissa Trigg-Collins
Melissa (she/her) is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist specializing in the intricate worlds of book arts and fiber arts. Currently, Melissa’s work investigates the extraordinary within the ordinary, seeking out the hidden magic embedded in daily life. Her pieces are defined by an intentional sense of whimsy and play, inviting viewers to rediscover wonder in the familiar. She draws deep inspiration from the rhythms of nature and her "soul spot," the shores of Lake Erie. Melissa’s work has been included in group exhibitions at the Pullen Arts Center and the Page-Walker Arts & History Center. A lifelong learner, she also served as a work-study at the renowned John C. Campbell Folk School, further refining her craftsmanship and dedication to traditional folk techniques.
