Class Description

Learn basic and advanced jewelry making techniques! Create your own project plan from start to finish.

This is a multi-week course, with the first session (April 15th) at the Erie Art Museum. The remaining sessions will be held at the artist's studio in southwest Millcreek every Wednesday evening. Please note the studio is on a lower level with no elevator access. Pets are also present at the studio, so please be aware if you have any pet allergies. About the Instructors - Jan and Dan Niebauer

Jan and Dan Niebauer are master jewelers, educators, and restoration specialists who have dedicated their careers to advancing the art of jewelry and metalsmithing. With advanced degrees in Art Education and Jewelry/Metalsmithing from Edinboro University, they bring a wealth of expertise to their roles as owners of Ralph Miller Jewelers, a renowned Erie institution since 1898. Both have taught jewelry-making for over 40 years. Alongside their work restoring historic artifacts for museums and landmarks, including the Albright Knox Art Museum and Erie Maritime Museum, their award-winning craftsmanship, innovative designs, and contributions to the arts community have solidified their legacy as leaders in the field.
