Class Description

This four session, beginner-friendly class will introduce you to the fundamentals of portrait drawing. You will learn the basics of human head anatomy, sighting and measuring techniques, and how to shade and add value, culminating in two finished portrait drawings. Attendees can expect to complete a self portrait from a mirror, as well as draw from a live model in the studio, and leave the class prepared with the skills necessary to continue their own portrait drawing practice.

No prior drawing experience is required, but this class can also be beneficial to artists who are looking to improve their portraiture skills and gain experience drawing from life.
