Workshop Description
Learn how to dye fabric using rusted metal to create beautiful, abstract designs with rich, earthy tones. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the basics of rust dyeing, including how to safely prepare materials and experiment with different techniques. You’ll leave with unique, one-of-a-kind fabric pieces—and the knowledge to easily recreate the process at home using simple, accessible materials. This workshop is operating on a sliding scale. You may purchase the class at a rate you feel financially comfortable with, up to the maximum class cost of $75. All students will receive the same instruction regardless of payment.
