Introduction to Food Photography Intensive

$75.00
sold out

Class Description

In this intensive three-day workshop, participants will team up in small groups of 2 - 3 to explore food photography. Through hands-on sessions, led by professional photographer, Ed Bernik, you'll learn the essentials of composing visually appealing scenes, from selecting and arranging props to mastering food presentation. The workshop will cover both studio and natural lighting techniques, offering a comprehensive approach to styling for different environments. Whether you're a beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, this workshop provides the tools and techniques to bring your creative vision to life.

Price

$65 for members and $75 for non-members. Members use the code FOOD for your discount!

Dates & Times

This workshop first meets Saturday, November 16th during Photo Forum from 10 am – 12 pm. The intensive will take place Friday, December 13th and Saturday, December 14th from 10 am – 2 pm.

Materials Required

Participants are welcome to use the camera of their choice, whether it's a DSLR, mirrorless, Android, or iPhone. The instructor will demonstrate how to achieve optimal results with any device. Props for styling can be sourced from your own home, flea markets, or yard sales. In our first session, we’ll have a meet-and-greet to discuss what items you’ll need, such as reflector boards (foam core, silver foil, compact mirrors, and cut-out "cookies" for lighting effects). We'll also provide suggestions for styling tools, kits, and background props to help you prepare for your setups.
