Summer 2025: AmeriMasala Creative Workshop for Teens & Adults
Class Description
This workshop will give participants the opportunity to construct, build, and create costumes, masks, and giant puppets with guidance from teaching artists at the Erie Art Museum to participate in this year’s AmeriMasala.
This workshop is intended for those 13 and older, participants 12 and under may register but must come with an adult guardian.
Price
This class is operating on a sliding scale. You may purchase the class at a rate you feel financially comfortable with, up to the maximum class cost of $200 per week. All students will receive the same instruction regardless of payment.

This is a flexible, drop-in style workshop, and participants are welcome to register and join at any point during the two-week period:
Week 1: Monday, June 30 – Thursday, July 3, from 9 AM – 3 PM (includes a lunch break)
Week 2: Monday, July 7 – Friday, July 11, from 9 AM – 2 PM (includes a lunch break)
Please note: Lunch is not included!
Participants working on larger projects are encouraged to attend multiple days or both weeks. Please note that registration is required for each week you plan to attend, as each fee covers only one week of the workshop.
Materials Required
All provided include upcycled cardboard, paint, glue, and some tools. Participants are encouraged to bring any additional supplies needed for specific projects.
