Class Description

This introductory level drawing class is perfect for those with little to no experience or anyone looking to strengthen their foundational drawing skills. The course covers the elements and principles of art & design, tools and methods for shading, contour drawing, grids, perspective, and the ability to “draw what you see, not what you think.” Guided studio sessions will focus on drawing simple objects, still lifes, and landscapes, with introductions to urban sketching, continuous line drawing, and mixed media. Group discussions and critiques provide opportunities to share your work and grow in a supportive environment.
