Expressive Printmaking
Class Description
This playful, welcoming class is open to all, no prior printmaking experience required.
Participants will learn the basics of printmaking using ink or paint applied to a surface and then printed onto paper. In this 1-day workshop, participants will explore a variety of simple printmaking methods using watercolor and other media to create playful and expressive prints that can be easily adapted for artmaking at home.
Each participant will create a collection of prints using both a printing press and hand printing methods. Exploratory exercises and creative experimentation are encouraged!
Price
This class is operating on a sliding scale. You may purchase the class at a rate you feel financially comfortable with, up to the maximum class cost of $55. All students will receive the same instruction regardless of payment.

About the Instructor - Erica Whiting
Erica is a multidisciplinary artist and creative photographer focusing on non-traditional and experimental portraits. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a Certification of Art Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
Her mission is to help you fall in love with yourself and showcase your individuality. She uses dramatic lighting, props, movement, creative editing techniques and set design to promote positive self-image and inclusion for empowering, photoshoot experiences. No idea is too out of the box when it comes to planning your session.
Erica’s work has been exhibited in the Nicole + Harry Martin Spring Show at the Erie Art Museum and the ArmErie Show at the Bayfront Gallery in Erie, PA. Her photography work has been featured on the Unscripted Posing App, Business Insider, the New York Post, and published in Rock N Roll Bride. Erica is also an art educator, having taught for the Erie School District and Erie Art Museum.
