Introduction to Drypoint Etching

Class Description

In this 3 week course, students will explore the process of drypoint etching and hand printing. They will learn how to transfer an image onto a plexiglass plate, which is then inked, wiped, and printed onto damp paper. Hand printing offers an accessible method for creating prints at home. By the end of the class, students will understand how to transform a single, original drawing into a reproducible image.
