Looking for something for young artists? The Erie Art Museum offers gallery-based art making sessions. Each week features a new theme.
Hours: Tusdays beginning June 17, 3-4:30 p.m.

Art Camp for Kids
Mix and mingle art and music.  Campers make an instrument, invent their own music notation, paint to cool music and work right in the galleries.
Hours: Monday-Friday, June 23-27, 2008, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Fee: $135 includes all supplies, snack and Student Museum membership.

Public opening reception.  The Bayfront Gallery, 17 East Dobbins Landing, presents "The Plavcan Century": Show and Sale opening with a public reception on Sunday, June 29 from 2-5 p.m. Catch the FREE downtown Bayliner Trolley to visit both!

Work directly with objects in the collection, discover how exhibits are created, and delve into the fascinating history and meaning behind African textiles

Interactive program for adults and their 3–5 year olds. We are sure you'll get a little wired checking out some electric-colored landscapes. We will put our energy (and wire) to good use creating tree sculptures. $5 per child, those with Museum Family Membership are free.

First Fridays (Art from the Gertrude A. Barber National Institute)
Interactive program for adults and their 3–5 year olds. Get ready to jump into print making feet first! With some fancy footwork and a little baby powder we will make experimental prints on paper. $5 per child, those with Museum Family Membership are free.
