Art Party at ClaySpace
Have your next party right at ClaySpace!
ClaySpace Art Parties are great for:
• Children or teen birthday parties
•
Scout groups
•
Youth groups
•
Homeschoolers
•
Bridal showers, anniversaries or other adult celebrations
What ClaySpace will provide:
At least one full hour of instruction (up to two hours for teen and adult groups) in an age appropriate clay activity.
•
Instruction by a professional artist who also an experienced teacher
•
Up to an additional hour of time in the facility for serving refreshments and/or opening presents.
•
One piece of work per guest is kiln-fired (to be picked up later by party host) or one make-and-take item per guest.
•
A clean party space with tables and table coverings, trash and recycling containers, and convenient bathrooms.
•
One free family admission to the Erie Art Museum is provided to each
guest, valid for one year.
What the group host will provide:
A minimum of five and a maximum of fifteen guests. (If the party is for children extra adults who assist can come for free.) The cost will be $15 per guest with a 15% discount for our museum members.

Any decorations, refreshments, utensils, napkins
•
Clean up of any refreshments
ClaySpace staff is happy to tailor the clay activity to any age level or interest.
Feel free to come up with your own theme ideas, too.
Possible themes for children:
Circus - Creativity takes center ring at this party! Guests will create clay sculptures their favorite Big Top talents.
American Indians - Create Native American inspired clay dolls, bead jewelry, arrowheads, or coil pots.
Dinosaurs - Guests create their favorite or fantasy prehistoric heroes out of clay.
Safari - Explore Africa and its animals through clay creation.
Horses - Guests will make horses, unicorns, or a Pegasus.
Themes for Tweens, Teens, and Adults:
Japanese Tea Ceremony - Party guests will make their own unique pinch pot tea bowl and experience aspects of a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony.
Little Boxes - Each guest will make a small lidded box for keepsakes or trinkets.
Make your own jewelry - (add extra $5/person for supplies) Using colorful polymer clay, learn techniques to create beautiful beads. Beads can be fired during refreshment time and guests can leave wearing their new creations.
Instant Table Setting - (add extra $5/person for supplies) Each guest will get a pre-made mug, bowl, or plate to glaze, giving it a shiny and colorful surface.
