Traditional Children’s Songs from Sudan, Ukraine, Russia, Iraq, and Puerto Rico
Volume Two of the Old Songs / New Opportunities Project
Thirteen women from three continents completed a program that included a basic child development course and internship at a local daycare. The women also compiled a collection of songs they’ve learned and used since they were children. They then created singable English versions for each song. This includes a CD and color booklet of transcriptions, lyrics, and translations for 14 songs and one African folktale.
