Two Storytellers in Concert

On Friday, March 19, in the Annex at 8 p.m., the Erie Art Museum will host an intimate and inspiring concert featuring two professional storytellers.

Andre Heuer, an Erie native now living in Minnesota, is a wonderfully courageous and effective performing artist. His work demonstrates the power found in the heart and root of theater--the sharing of story. Andre gracefully combines responsiveness, gesture, and intention, a significant and rare accomplishment. Andre's spirit of unwavering generosity welcomes the audience into his beautifully crafted world.

In conjunction with his appearance, Andre will also be working with students and adults from Stairways Behavioral Health, using The View From Here exhibition to teach how to frame a story.

Lorna Czarnota, a native of Buffalo, is the founder of Crossroads, a program which brings stories and storytelling to at-risk youth and women in Northwestern NY. Her performances are humorous and compelling, drawing from ancient legends to contemporary tales.
