On May 8, 2009, the Erie Art Museum began to see the bricks and mortar results of five years of planning by the Erie Art Museum and a community-wide capital campaign which to date has raised $7.2 million in public and private funding for the $9 million expansion and renovation project including $3.5 million from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and $1 million from the Erie Art Museum’s Board of Directors.  An additional $2 million of a $3 million endowment goal has been secured for the Erie Art Museum’s long-term financial security. 

But there is more to be done to ensure that the expansion achieves its potential to enrich a community and the lives of generations of its citizens.  Gifts may be stretched over five years.  Click here to see how your gift, in any amount, impacts the campaign . . .
